Strengthining the Vocational Education and Training Project
'SVET' is an educational project supported by EU. This project aims to form a model dealing with roles of local administrations in vocational education in Turkey as in many European country.
Svet (Strengthining the Vocational Education and Training Project) is an educational project supported by EU. This project aims to form a model dealing with roles of local administrations in vocational education in Turkey as in many European country. Total budget of the project is 58,2 million Euro. 25 million Euro of this budget is for equipment necessity of pilot institutions, 17 million Euro is separated for micro educational projects.
Our municipality is only one pilot municipality of 105 pilot educational institutions selected in Svet Project in Turkey. In the worth of 32 000 YTL equipment was donated to our municipality by EU in order to use in Svet Project and constitute a Computer Laboratory for education.
Aim of the Svet Project is to provide the promotion of the work power necessary for the local economy. At the end of the project our Municipality has got an adult educational institute at the same level with other European countries. So, municipality can plan local work power with social partners, promote service quality by arranging educational programs and increase cooperation between institutions in local level.
In Svet project, the following adult training courses will be opened; the Office Management and Secretary, Technical Service of Computer and Technical Service of Office Equipments. The graduates having four years education in Svet program will have a diploma valid international level. Moreover, in future the vocational courses opened in ASMEK (Antalya Art and Educational Center) are planned to be included in Svet Project.
